Eduardo Marbán, MD, PhD, the director of the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, is an international leader in cardiology and a pioneering heart researcher. He also is the Mark Siegel Family Foundation Chair.

Dr. Marbán came to Cedars-Sinai after 25 years at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During his tenure there, he served in a variety of academic and research positions, including Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Cardiovascular Clinical Research, a program focused on identifying novel risk factors for sudden cardiac death.
